A laid back weekend

This weekend has been pretty uneventful. Doug took Luke to go see his parents. He has been alternating taking the boys when he goes.
So this weekend it was just me, Sam, & Sara Kate at home. The best thing about having those two together is they both still take naps!!!! Luke recently made a request that I sew him something because I'm always sewing for S.K. I worked on Luke's earlier in the week. And worked on Sam's during naptime on Thur. & Fri.
I noticed these name appliqued shirt in a Kelly's Kids catalog for about $40 a shirt + $40 for the pants!!!
That should be a sin to spend that much on a T & pants! So I decided to attempt it. I had bought this turquoise corduroy a few weeks ago and decided to use it. It turned out fairly good. Not great, but good. I dream one day of getting a sewing machine with embroidering and appliquing. (By the way, I spent $5 for the shirt, $4.50 for the fabric, and the green fabric was scraps I had = $9.50 per outfit!)

Other than some sewing it was pretty much an uneventful weekend. We did go on that cowboy photoshoot Thurs. afternoon. We watched some movies, ate popcorn, cleaned up popcorn, and played with toys.

Somedays it feels good just to stay home and take a bubble bath and relax.(If you notice I'm not the one taking the bubble bath!)
Me and the kids are going to Walnut Hill,Fl. this week to visit my parents. Pray for safe and PEACEFUL travel!
